Special instructions for programmable settings

Memo alarm

An alarm sounds at the set time for 3 minutes. A text memo can also be displayed for the alarm.

A total of 3 separate alarm times can be programmed for each handset.

You can set one of 2 different alarm options (once or daily) for each alarm time.

Important:

L Set the date and time beforehand (page 15).

5{V}/{^}: Select the desired alarm option. i M

Off

Turns alarm off. Press M again, then press {ih} to exit.

Once

An alarm sounds once at the set time. Enter the desired date and month.

Daily

An alarm sounds daily at the set time.

7Enter a text memo (30 characters max.; page 37). i M

8{V}/{^}: Select the desired ringer tone. i M 2 times

L We recommend selecting a different ringer tone to the one used for outside calls.

L When the alarm is set, E is displayed.

Note:

L You can skip to step 3 by pressing {R/E} in standby mode.

L To stop the alarm, press any dial key or place the handset on the base unit or charger.

LWhen the handset is in use, the alarm will not sound until the handset is in standby mode.

LIf you select Once, the setting changes to Offafter the alarm sounds.

LEven when the ringer volume for outside calls is set to off (page 22), the alarm sound is heard at a low level.

Time adjustment (Caller ID subscribers only)

This feature allows the unit to automatically adjust the date and time each time caller information is received. To use this feature, your caller ID service has to provide caller information, including date and time. Contact your service provider/telephone company for details.

To turn this feature on, select Caller ID[Auto]. To turn this feature off, select Manual.

Important:

L To use this feature, set the date and time first (page 15).
