Making/Answering Calls

Making calls

1Lift the handset and dial the phone

number.

L To correct a digit, press {C/T}.

2{C}

3When you finish talking, press {ih} or place the handset on the

base unit or charger.

Using the speakerphone

1Dial the phone number, and press {s}.

L Speak alternately with the other party.

2When you finish talking, press {ih}.

Note:

L For best performance, use the speakerphone in a quiet environment.

L To switch back to the receiver, press {C}.

Adjusting the receiver or speaker volume

Push the joystick up or down repeatedly while talking.

Making a call using the redial list

The last 10 phone numbers dialled are stored in the redial list (each 24 digits max.).

2{V}/{^}: Select the desired phone number.

3{C} / {s}

L If {s} is pressed and the other party’s line is engaged, the unit automatically redials multiple times. While the handset is waiting to redial, the ringer

indicator flashes. To cancel, press {ih}.

Editing/erasing/storing

Editing a number before

calling:

Erasing a number:

Storing a number to the

phonebook:

{V}/{^}: Add Phonebooki M i To store the name, continue from step 3, “Adding entries”, page 19.

Note:

L When editing:

To erase a number, place the cursor on the number, then press {C/T}.

To insert a number, place the cursor to the right of where you want to insert the number, then press the appropriate dial key.

Pause (for PBX/long distance service users)

A pause is sometimes required when making calls using a PBX or long distance service. When storing a calling card access number and/or PIN in the phonebook, a pause is also needed (page 21).
