5.Select the working channel and press ENTER.

Note: Duplex channels cannot usually be called and are automatically eliminated from the suggested call list. If the call is to a coast station, the channel is selected automatically.

6.The call details are shown. Press ENTER to send the call.

The Tx icon is shown on the screen while the call is being sent.

7.If the call is acknowledged, press PTT to talk.

8.If there is no reply (UNABLE TO ACKNOWLEDGE); a message asks if you want to retry (SEND AGAIN?).

9.Select YES, then push ENTER to retry the call.

This cycle repeats twice. If the call still cannot be placed, the radio returns to normal operation.

5-7 Reply to the Last Call

Your call log contains the contact details of the 20 most recent incoming calls. Use LAST CALL to reply quickly to the most recent call.

The contact details of the most recent incoming call are displayed.

3.Select the working channel and press ENTER.
