Replacing the Filter

For the filters, use the optional EP-A6000-902 (dust filter) and EP-A6000-903 (deodorizing filter).

CAUTION

Use a genuine filter for the Hitachi Air Purifier.

Other filters may cause unit failure.

Before replacing the filter, be sure to stop the purifier and unplug the power cord from AC outlet.

Remove the water tank, and then pull out the water tray. P.E-9

(This procedure should be done to prevent water leakage.)

CAUTION

When you remove the water tank, water may drip from the tank cap. Lay a dry cloth before removing the water tank.

Remove the panel and the pre-filter.

Remove the used filter.

Deodorizing filter

Remove the dust fi lter and then the deodorizing fi lter.

 

 

Dust filter

Take a new deodorizing filter out of its plastic bag and install it on the unit. P.E-8

Install the deodorizing fi lter so that its black surface faces the front (white surface in the back).

Insert the fi lter all the way until the label (deodorizing fi lter position indicator) is hidden.

CAUTION

Be sure to take the fi lter out of its plastic bag. Do not block the fi lter front surface with cloth or paper.

Same precautions should be taken for the dust fi lter as well.

Take a new dust filter out of its plastic bag and install it on the unit.

Insert the filter all the way until the label (dust filter position indicator) is hidden.

Install the pre-filter. Dust filter Deodorizing filter

Reinstall the panel on the unit. P.E-8

Install the water tray, and then mount the water tank. P.E-9

Note

No cleaning effect is obtainable if the filter is installed with plastic bag.

 

It may also be a cause of malfunction.
