SERVICE

General

This section covers the most common service adjustments or procedures that may need to be made during the life of your machine.

If you require additional machine service not included in this section, please contact Woodstock International Technical Support at (360) 734-3482 or send e-mail to: tech-support@shopfox.biz.

Belt Adjustment

Your shaper uses a flat-type belt on two drum-style pul- leys, to compensate for different belt positions as the spindle height is adjusted.

To adjust belt, do these steps:

1.DISCONNECT SHAPER FROM POWER SOURCE!

2.Loosen the belt adjustment bolts as shown in Figure 37.

3.Slide the motor position to increase or decrease belt tension, so the belt is snug with about 1/4" deflec- tion when pressed lightly with your fingertips.

4.Tighten the belt adjustment bolts.

MAKE SURE that your machine is unplugged during all service proce- dures! If this warning is ignored, seri- ous personal injury may occur.
