Correcting Phase Polarity (G0601 Only)
This subsection is only provided for troubleshoot- ing. If you discover during the test run that the machine will not operate, or that the impeller spins backward, the power connections may be wired out-of-phase. Without the proper test equipment to determine the polarity of the power source legs, wiring machinery to 3-phase power may require trial-and-error. Correcting phase polarity is simply a matter of reversing the positions where two of the incoming power source wires are connected inside the control box.
NOTICE
If this machine is wired out-of-phase, the motor and impeller will spin in the wrong direction. The efficiency of the dust col- lector will be greatly reduced and will not provide the rated CFM. You must make sure the motor is spinning in the correct direction before placing the machine into full operation. Perform Step 10 of the test run on Page 32 to make sure the machine is correctly wired.
To correct phase polarity:
1.DISCONNECT MACHINE FROM POWER!
2.Open the control box and swap the connec- tions of any two incoming hot wires from the power source (see Figure 6).
