BTFP12182 ADJUSTMENTS

STAPLE LENGTH ADJUSTMENTS:

This tool comes supplied for use with 38mm staples for stapling two thicknesses of triple flute board. The adjustment plate can be moved to achieve different levels of penetration varying on the total thickness of the boards (Fig 7). Loosen the nuts (Fig 6) and adjusting the plate as shown in the table below. If adjustments do not give a satisfactory clinch, alternative clinchers may needed to be fitted and adjustments made in accordance with the following table.

Note: Additional clinchers are not included and should only be fitted by the authorized agents of Bostitch or by other experts, giving due regard to the safety, operating and maintenance instructions in this manual, the Safety and Operating Instructions Manual and in the Tool Technical Data.

TOOL OPERATION CHECK:

CAUTION: Remove all fasteners from tool before performing tool operation check.

1.TRIGGER OPERATED TOOL:

A.With finger off the trigger, hold the tool with a firm grip on the handle.

B.Place the nose of the tool against the work surface.

C.Pull the trigger to drive.

THE TOOL WILL CYCLE EACH TIME THE TRIGGER IS PULLED!

THIS IS A FULL CYCLE TOOL. PULL THE TRIGGER, AND CLINCHERS WILL DISCHARGE AND RETRACT
