Launching the Enclosure Monitor Manager

The monitor manager can be launched in any of the following ways:

From the actions pane of the Group diagram and Monitor Service views

From the Start menu

From a command line

When launching from a command line, the IP address of the target monitor service can be passed to the monitor manager. For example, the following command uses the local host IP address for a monitor service that is running locally:

HPBladeSystemEnclosureMonitorManager.exe 127.0.0.1

Multiple monitor managers can run at the same time and simultaneously connect to the same monitor service. Only one user at a time can launch a wizard to change the enclosure configuration to a particular monitor service.

Connecting to the Enclosure Monitor Service

If the monitor manager is launched without having a command line argument or Connect button specifying the monitor service, the Connect screen is displayed.

The Connect button is available from the File menu, or from the Actions pane and menu when you select the HP BladeSystem Enclosure Monitor Manager from the Tree pane.

1.Select or enter the Monitor Service Hostname, and then click Connect.

The Monitor Service Hostname field enables you to select a previously chosen monitor service connection.
