The monitor manager is unable to connect to the monitor service because of a connection issue

The monitor manager displays an error message indicating that it failed to connect to the monitor service. To verify that the current system can connect to the target system through the network:

1.Select Computer ManagementServices from the target system.

2.Verify that the HP BladeSystem Enclosure Monitor Service is running.

The monitor manager is unable to connect to the monitor service because of an incompatible version

The monitor manager supports the monitor service only with the same installation package. If the versions are incompatible, update the monitor manager and the monitor service with the same installation package, and then verify that you entered the correct IP address or DNS name.

The monitor manager is unable to connect to the monitor service because of user credentials

The monitor manager uses the current user's credentials to access remote monitor service. Verify that the current user has been granted access to the remote system hosting monitor service.

The monitor manager status line displays failure status

The monitor manager is configured to periodically connect with the monitor service to update its data. The monitor manager displays failure status when it fails to connect with the monitor service. Ensure that the network connection is working and that the monitor service is running. Manually refresh or connect to another monitor service to restore the monitor manager to the Ready state.

The monitor manager fails to validate an enclosure registration

If the web browser proxy setting is not properly configured, the monitor manager fails to validate the details for a new enclosure. Adjust the proxy settings or include the enclosure IP in the exceptions list.

The Details pane in the monitor manager is not updated automatically

The monitor manager is configured to automatically refresh the view when data is updated in the monitor service. However, the monitor manager displays failure status if it is unable to connect with the monitor service. Manually refresh or connect to another monitor service to re-enable auto refresh.

A critical state displays in the monitor manager for the monitor service

The monitor manager has an issue communicating with the monitor service. Select Computer ManagementServices and verify that the HP BladeSystem Enclosure Monitor Service is running. If the service is not running, restart the monitor service. Verify that the HP BladeSystem event log does not contain any error messages for the monitor service.

A critical state displays in the monitor manager for a managed enclosure

The monitor manager displays an error message indicating that the monitor service has an issue communicating with the managed HP enclosure. Verify that the network connection and login credentials are properly configured.

The default Internet browser is not used when opening the Onboard Administrator web page

The monitor manager always uses Microsoft Internet Explorer to open the Onboard Administrator web page.
