Removing managed enclosures

To remove managed enclosures from the monitor service:

1.In the Actions pane, click Remove Managed Enclosure. The Remove Managed Enclosure Wizard appears.

2.Follow the instructions to remove the enclosure from the monitor service.

The monitor service stops monitoring the removed enclosures immediately after the wizard completes. However, the management console continues to display the removed enclosures and subsystems until these elements are removed after the next discovery cycle.

Modifying enclosure configuration

If OA information changes, such as the IP address or the enclosure name, modify the enclosure configuration as follows:

1.From the Actions pane, click Modify Enclosure Configuration. The Modify Enclosure Configuration Wizard appears.

2.Follow the instructions to update the enclosure configuration.

If the Apply changes to the Monitor Service immediately check box is selected, the modified monitor service starts using the updated information immediately after the wizard completes. Otherwise, the modified information is not applied until the monitor service reconnects with the OA.

Changes to the management console are not applied until after the next discovery cycle.

Modifying enclosure login

If the OA information changes, such as the login credentials, modify the enclosure login information as follows:

1.From the Actions pane, click Modify Enclosure Login. The Modify Enclosure Login Wizard appears.

2.Follow the instructions to update the login information.

If the Apply changes to the Monitor Service immediately check box is selected, the modified monitor service starts using the updated information immediately after the wizard completes. Otherwise, the modified information is not applied until the monitor service reconnects with the OA.

Changes to the management console are not applied until after the next discovery cycle.

Launching the HP Onboard Administrator website

To launch the website for Onboard Administrator, select the managed enclosure from the Tree pane, and click Onboard Administrator Web from the Actions pane.

The Onboard Administrator Web link opens in Internet Explorer.

Launching the HP BladeSystem Management Pack help

To launch the management pack help, click Help from the Actions pane.
