Installing Cards

This section describes how to install the following:

♦New Media LiveWire+ Ethernet PC Card.

♦Xircom Ethernet 10/100 + Modem PC Card.

To install a New Media LiveWire+ Ethernet PC Card

Requirements

♦OmniBook 3000 with Windows for Workgroups 3.11 installed.

♦New Media LiveWire+ Ethernet PC Card.

♦New Media LiveWire+ Install Disk.

♦This procedure assumes that Card and Socket Services are being utilized.

Configuration

♦Interrupt: 09.

♦I/O Port address: 300, 310, 320 or 340.

♦Memory Range: D0000.

1.Start the OmniBook.

2.Insert the PC Card.

3.From Program Manager, double-click Network group, then Network Setup.

4.Click Network.

5.Select Installing Windows Network, then click OK.

6.Click Drivers, then click Add Adapter.

7.Double-click Unlisted Or Updated Network Adapter.

8.Insert the driver disk into A:\, then click OK.

9.Select the New Media LiveWire+ Full Duplex Ethernet LAN driver, then click OK.

10.Click Close, then click OK.
