Installing Cards

This section describes how to install the following:

New Media LiveWire+ Ethernet PC Card.

Xircom Ethernet 10/100 Modem PC Card.

To install a New Media LiveWire+ Ethernet PC Card

Requirements

OmniBook 3000 with Windows 95 installed.

New Media LiveWire+ Ethernet PC Card.

New Media LiveWire+ Install Disk version 1.10 or higher.

Windows 95A

1.While Windows 95 is running, insert the PC Card.

2.The New Hardware Found window is displayed. Click OK.

3.When prompted, insert the LiveWire+ Install disk, then click OK.

4.Enter your Computer name, Workgroup and Description then click Close.

5.Insert the Windows 95 CD-ROM when prompted and change the directory to D:\WIN95 or enter the path C:\WINDOWS\OPTIONS\CABS, then click OK.

6.Remove the driver disk, then click Yes to reboot the OmniBook. The New Media LiveWire+ Ethernet PC Card is now ready for use.

Windows 95B OEM Service Release 2

1.While Windows 95 is running, insert the PC Card. The New Hardware Found window is displayed.

2.When prompted, insert the LiveWire+ Install disk, then click Next.

3.Click Finish.
