Microprocessor Controllers

Standard chillers use a microprocessor-based PID controller. These controllers are modular, self-contained units that can slide from their mounting housing. They are factory set and adjusted; no field adjustment to the internal controls are necessary. Their standard operation range is 30ºF to 65ºF (-1ºC to 18ºC). See Figure 7: Typical Portable Chiller Microprocessor Controller.
