What water to use?

Yourappliancehasbeendesignedtofunctionwithuntreatedtapwater. However,itisnecessarytooperatetheSelf-Clean functionregularlyinordertoeliminatehardwaterdepositsfromthesteamchamber. Ifyourwaterisveryhard(checkwithyourlocalwaterauthority),itispossibletomixuntreatedtapwaterwithstore- boughtdistilledordemineralisedwaterinthefollowingproportions:

- 50%tapwater, - 50%distilledordemineralisedwater.

Types of water not to use?

Heatconcentratestheelementscontainedinwaterduringevaporation.Thetypesofwaterlistedbelowcontainorganic

wasteormineralelementsthatcancausespitting,brownstaining,orprematurewearoftheappliance:waterfrom

clothesdryers,scentedorsoftenedwater,waterfromrefrigerators,batteriesorairconditioners,puredistilledor demineralisedwaterorrainwatershouldnotbeusedinyourTefaliron. Alsodonotuseboiled,filteredorbottledwater.
