a flashing BATTERY on the display, the installed battery may be dead. If you re- move the old battery and install a fresh battery within one minute, you may not lose your programming. After installing a new battery, follow the procedures in CHECK YOUR PROGRAMMING to determine whether your programming was main- tained. If the thermostat retains program-

ming, press
