9.Con la perilla auxiliar en la posiciónAUX, oprima el botón ON (ENCENDER) en el control remoto. Para ajustar la temperatura utilizando el control remoto, siga las instrucciones en la página 15. Cuando la temperatura alrededor del control remoto cae debajo de la temperatura establecida, el quemador deberá encenderse. El receptor re- moto detrás de la unidad debe estar en la posición

REMOTE (CONTROL REMOTO).

PRECAUCIÓN: No trate de ajustar los niveles de calefac- ción por medio de la válvula de cierre del equipo.

PARA CERRAR EL GAS HACIA EL APARATO Como apagar el calentador

1.Presione y gire la perilla de control en el sentido

de las manecillas del reloj hasta la posi- ción de OFF (apagado).

2.Desenchufe cualquier suministro de energía eléctrica al aparato si éste se va reparar.

Cómo apagar el quemador solamente (el

piloto sigue encendido)

Si la perilla auxiliar está en la posiciónAUX, presione

el botón OFF (APAGAR) del control remoto.

Si la perilla auxiliar está en la posición de ON (encendi-

do), gire la perilla del piloto en el sentido de las mane-

cillas del reloj

a la posición de PILOTO.

FUNCIONAMIENTO DEL

TERMOSTATO

El termostato utilizado en este calentador detecta la temperatura de la habitación en la ubicación del control remoto portátil. Algunas veces, la temperatura de la habitación puede ser mayor de la que se estableció. Si esto ocurre, el quemador se apagará. El quemador volverá a encenderse cuan- do la temperatura de la habitación disminuya por debajo de la temperatura que se estableció. Todas las placas se apagarán y se encenderán.

PROCEDIMIENTO DE

ENCENDIDO MANUAL

1.Realice los pasos 1 a 5 de las Instrucciones de encendido, en la página 13.

2.Con la perilla del piloto presionada, encienda un fósforo. Sostenga el fósforo en el piloto hasta que este último se encienda.

3.Mantenga la perilla de control presionada por 30 segundos después de encender el piloto. Después de los 30 segundos, suelte la perilla de control. Continúe en el paso 8, en Instrucciones de encendido, vea arriba.

PORTÁTIL

1.Deslice el interruptor de selección del control remoto a la posición REMOTE (CONTROL REMOTO).

2.Jale y gire ligeramente la perilla auxiliar de manera que AUX esté en las posiciones izquierda y derecha y ON (ENCENDER) esté en las posiciones superior e inferior.

3.Encienda el piloto. Realice los pasos 1 a 6 de las Instrucciones de encendido, en la página 13.

PANTALLA

La pantalla de liquido de cuarzo (LCD, por sus siglas en inglés) del control remoto indica la temperatura de la habitación en grados Fahrenheit o Celsius. Una llama pequeña indica que la válvula del quemador está en funcionamiento. ROOM (HABITACIÓN) indica que está en funcionamiento en modo thermo (termostático). TEMP aparece durante un funcio- namiento manual. SET (ESTABLECER) aparece al momento de configurar la temperatura deseada en el funcionamiento thermo (termostático).

CONFIGURACIÓN DE LA ESCALA FAHRENHEIT Y CELSIUS La configuración de fábrica para la temperatura es en grados Fahrenheit. Para cambiar esta configura- ción a Celsius, presione simultáneamente los botones ON (ENCENDER) Y OFF (APAGAR) del control remoto. Siga el mismo procedimiento para cambiar de grados Celsius nuevamente a Fahrenheit.

FUNCIÓN MANUAL

Operación de encendido Cuando se oprime el botón de ON (ENCENDER) la llama del aparato se encenderá. La pantalla de líquido de cuarzo (LCD, por sus siglas en inglés) mostrará ON (ENCENDER) durante tres segundos, posteriormente mostrará de manera predeterminada la temperatura de la habitación y la palabra TEMP y el icono de flama se desplegarán.
