STEP 6: DOOR ARM CONNECTION AND INSTALLATION
NOTE: If the door is of light construction it may be necessary to reinforce the center stile with steel angle or wood to prevent damage to the door if it encounters an obstruction on closing.

SECTIONAL DOORS AND ONE-PIECE DOORS WITH TRACKS: Install the door mounting bracket on center and even with the top set of rollers on the door as illustrated. Connect the straight Door Arm section (single hole end) to the Trolley using a clevis pin and clip provided. Connect the curved Door Arm section (single hole end) to the door mounting bracket using a clevis pin and clip, provided. The Door Arm must pivot freely. Connect the two Door Arm sections with the 5/16" nuts and bolts provided, adjusting the length of the Door Arm so that it leans toward the Power Unit as illustrated. Do not install the Door Arm so that it is straight up and down when the door is closed or the Emergency Release will not function properly.
ONE-PIECE DOORS WITHOUT TRACKS: Install the Door Mounting Bracket on the top edge of the door at center as illustrated. Connect the curved Door Arm section (single hole end) to the Trolley using a clevis pin and clip provided. Connect the straight Door Arm section (single hole end) to the door mounting bracket using a clevis pin and clip, provided. The Door Arm must pivot freely. Connect the two Door Arm sections with the 5/16" nuts and bolts provided, adjusting the length of the Door Arm so the straight portion is at a 15-20 degree angle with respect to the floor.
