Bi-amping using an external power-amplifier

To bi-amplify your speakers using one or more external power amplifiers, you will need as many channels of amplification as there are channels you wish to bi-amplify. For example, to bi-amplify just the front left and right channels, a two-channel amplifier such as the Arcam P90 is required; to bi- amplify all seven channels, either multiple two-channel amplifiers or a single seven-channel amplifier (or some variation thereof) are required.

Connect the pre-amplifier outputs of the AVR350 to the line inputs of the power amplifier(s) you are using. If multiple two-channel power amplifiers are in use, it is recommended to route pairs of channels through the same amplifier (e.g., the front left and right channels should be amplified by the same amplifier).

Connect the HF terminal of your speaker to the correct speaker terminal of the AVR350 (the AVR350 amplification circuits will be used to provide the high-frequency signals); connect the LF terminal of your speaker to the correct speaker terminal of the power amplifier (the power amplifier will be used to provide the low-frequency signals).

Ensure that in all cases, the positive terminals on the speakers are connected to the positive (red) terminals on the amplifier, and similarly for the negative (black) terminals.
