TEMPERATURE SENSOR

Location:

The temperature sensors are located inside the top rear of the cooling drum under the auger motor covers.

Test Procedures:

1.Position the DAY/NIGHT switch in the “NIGHT” position, check the L.E.D. on the control panel for flashes.

2.The L.E.D. for the temperature sensor is located between the appropriate auger switch and the ice switch.

3.If the temperature in the cooling drum is less than 20° F (-6˚C) or more than 120°F (73˚C) for

10 seconds the L.E.D. will flash twice every four seconds.

4.If flashing is present as described, replace the temperature sensor.

NOTE: Auger motor cover must be in place to give a correct reading.

Removal and Replacement:

1.Remove the two #8-32 securing the auger motor cover to cooling drum mount and remove the cover. Set aside for reassembly.

2.Disconnect the plug on the temperature sensor leads from the connector on the dispenser main wiring harness.

3.Pull the temperature sensor from the tube at the top rear of the cooling drum and discard.

4.Push new temperature sensor into the tube at the top rear of the cooling drum as far as it will go.

5.Refer to Fig. 47 and reconnect the wires.

6.Position auger motor cover on cooling drum mount and secure with two #8-32 locking screws.
