Remove the Base Grille

NOTE: Before performing any type of installation, cleaning, or removing a light bulb, turn the control (Thermostat, Refrigerator or Freezer Control depending on the model) to OFF and then disconnect the refrigerator from the electrical source. When you are finished, reconnect the refrigerator to the electrical source and reset the control (Thermostat, Refrigerator or Freezer Control depending on the model) to the desired setting.

Remove the Base Grille

1.Open the refrigerator door.

2.Remove the base grille by pressing down on the two tabs as shown.

Adjust the Door Closing

Your refrigerator has 2 adjustable leveling legs in the front. If your refrigerator seems unsteady or you want the doors to close easier, adjust the refrigerator's tilt using these instructions.

1.Plug into a grounded 3 prong outlet.

2.Move the refrigerator into its final position.

3.Lower the leveling legs just enough to lift the cabinet up off of the floor. If you need to remove the base grille, see “Remove the Base Grille.”

4.Adjust the leveling legs to level the refrigerator:

Turn the leveling leg to the right to lower that side of the refrigerator.

Turn the leveling leg to the left to raise that side of the refrigerator.

5.Check with a level.

6.Open and close the door to make sure it swings properly.

3.Replace the base grille by pressing it onto the clips as shown.

Normal Sounds

Your new refrigerator may make sounds that your old one didn’t make. Because the sounds are new to you, you might be concerned about them. Most of the new sounds are normal. Hard surfaces, such as the floor, walls, and cabinets, can make the sounds seem louder. The following describes the kinds of sounds and what may be making them.

You may hear a cracking noise from ice melting during defrosting.

Rattling noises may come from the flow of refrigerant or items stored on top of the refrigerator.

You may hear a gurgling sound due to the refrigerant flowing in your refrigerator.

You may hear water running into the defrost pan during the defrost cycle.

You may hear clicking sounds when the refrigerator starts or stops running.
