ROOm2 SOURCE PLAYBACk

• This function allows enjoying one source in the main room and playing another in a different room at the same time.

Notes:

Only the analog input signal from the ROOM2 source can be heard. So, be sure to make analog audio connection and select analog input for ROOM2 source.

Even when this receiver enters the standby mode, in such a case that “R2”, etc. light up dim and the SURROUND </>, STEREO and VOLUME -/+ buttons on the front panel light up blue as it does in the operating mode, meaning only the ROOM2 circuitry operates, the ROOM2 source can be played independently.

When you do not use the ROOM2 function, turn off the ROOM2 function to save electricity.

1. Turn on the ROOM2 function.

• “ROOM2 ~” is displayed for several seconds.

• Each time the ROOM2 button is pressed, the ROOM2 mode changes as follows :

ON : To turn on the ROOM2 function. ↕ (“R2” lights up.)

OFF : To turn it off. (“R2” goes off.)

Notes:

• To hear the sound of ROOM2 source from the speakers connected to the SURROUND BACK/ROOM2 terminal, you should set the “AMP” to “R2” first. (For details, refer to “When selecting the AMP ASSIGN” on page 35.)

• When the ROOM2 mode is set to OFF, you cannot select the ROOM2 input and adjust the ROOM2 volume.

2. Select the desired input as a ROOM2 source.

• Each time this button is pressed, the ROOM2 input can be selected among CD, AUX, F.AUX, TUNER, VIDEO1, V2/IPD.

3. Adjust the ROOM2 volume.
