Starting and quitting Norton AntiVirus

You don’t have to open the Norton AntiVirus program to be protected from viruses if you have Auto-Protect running. You do have to open Norton AntiVirus when you want to:

1Start a manual virus scan of your computer.

1Start a manual LiveUpdate session.

1Schedule Norton AntiVirus to run unattended virus scans or LiveUpdate downloads.

1Customize virus protection options.

To start Norton AntiVirus

1Open the Applications folder.

2Double-clickNorton AntiVirus.
