The charger is equipped with an electronic timer that activates when the batteries reach a gassing threshold (2.3 volts per cell). The indicator LED will begin to flicker.
WARNING
Do not disconnect any output leads or connectors between the batteries and the charger when the charger is on. To stop a charge in progress, always unplug the extension cord from the AC power source.
After three hours, the electronic timer will cause the charger to shut off completely, indicated by the indicator LED going off. The batteries are now fully charged.
Unplug the extension cord from the 120 VAC outlet and the charger receptacle on the boom lift. Store the extension cord for next use.
CAUTION
Always unplug the battery charger power cord before moving the boom lift. Failure to disconnect power cord will cause damage to the equipment.
If LED does not become lit when power is applied, verify that charger is plugged into a live circuit.
Clean battery connectors if heavily corroded.
If LED does not go off, the charger has not reached a gassing threshold and is unable to actuate the timer. This indicates one or more shorted cells. Replace defective batteries as necessary.
