Voltage is greater than 30-VDC, theen you must wait until the Power Supply Output Volltage drops below 30-VDC before you proceed with thhe next step.

Open the Power Supply Box cover. Place current clamp around one of the wires conne cted to the switch labeled with switch marker PWR. Connect the current clamp to the true RMS current meter. Measure the input current. Current should m easure between 2.7-ARMS and 6.7-ARMS dependi ng on the CCR current level or current step.

Upon completing the measurement of the input current, remove current clamp and closee Power Supply Box cover.

10.5Checking Power Supplyy LED Cable

WARNING

WARNING:

Failure to t urn off power to the sign and wait five minutes could result in severe injury or death.

Turn off power to the sign. (WARNNING: Wait five minutes after sign power is turned off to service the sign. This will allow any residdual high voltage stored in Power Supply PCB co mponents to bleed off. ) With your multimeter set to DC Volts, verify that the Power Supply Outpuut Voltage is less than 30-VDC at TP6 (Positive lead)) and TP3 (Negative Lead) as indicated in Figure 21. If the Power Supply Output Voltage is greater than 30-VDC, then you must wait until the Power Suppply Output Voltage drops below 30-VDC beforre you proceed with the next step.

Remove the sign top cover bolts andd then lift the top cover from the sign. Remove the front face from the sign. Check the Power Supply LEDD Cable for visible damage. Make sure the Power Suupply LED cable connector is properly seated in CN99 at the Power Supply Board (see Figure 18). Verify that the Power Supply LED cable connector connects to the input connector of the first LED MODULEE and is properly seated in the input connector housinng. The LED MODULE input connector and the outtput connector are clearly marked with inward pointingg and outward pointing black arrows, respectively, on the LED MODULE PCB (see Figure 7).
