1.Turn the POWER switch to OFF.
2.Close the LCD panel and return the viewfinder to its original position.3.Replace the lens cap.4.Unload the cassette.5.Disconnect the power source.When recording outdoors or through a window, do not leave LCD screen, viewfinder or lens exposed to direct sunlight as it may cause damage.
❍Turn the power off if you do not intend to use the camcorder for a longer time.
❍When you start recording, the camcorder counts from 1 second to 10 seconds (recording reminder). Recordings shorter than 10 seconds may be difficult to edit later. On the other hand, a recording not containing a particular action should generally last no longer than 10 seconds.
❍The camcorder will shut off after 5 minutes when left in record pause mode to
protect tape and video heads. “
