84 Chapter 3

Removing the CPU

1. See “Removing the Therma l/Fan Module” on page 83.

2. Using a flat screwdriver, turn the CPU socket latch counter-clockwise to release the CPU.

3. Lift the CPU clear of the Mainboard.
