Query Drive Pool The Query Drive Pool command obtains information about
one or all drive pools. A report is generated and can be sent to
the screen, a specified file, or printer.
The report can be tailored to include only the drive identifiers
associated with the drive pool or a detailed report showing each
drives’ parameters associated with the drive pool. An example
of each report is shown in the following screen display, drive
pool query report. The default report produces the following
information:
Field Description
Drive Pool The name of the drive pool.
Drive ID The drives identifiers associated with the
drive pool. For detailed reports, the drive
identifier for the drive being shown.
Drive Type The type of drive, such as Magnetic,
Optical, etc.
Associated Archive Archive with which the drive is associated.
Current State The state of the archive whether it is
Online, Offline, Diagnostic, or
Unavailable.
Assignment If the drive is Allocated for a request or
Free with no request pending.
Usage Count Number of times the drive is accessed.
Mount State Whether a medium is mounted or not
mounted in the drive when the query was
executed. Valid values are Mounted or
Unmounted.
Mounted Media ID Shows which medium is mounted in the
drive.
