A query media request can query any media in the VolServ system. The media specified in a single media query request are not required to be located in the same archive. The default report produces the following information:

LTO, MO5.25, NCTP, RF5.25, ST-120,

 

3480, 3490, 3490E, 8590, 9840, 8MM,

 

4MM, and USERTYPE.

 

 

Media Class

The Media Class with which the medium

 

is associated.

 

 

Assignment

If the medium is Allocated to be mounted

 

or Free from pending mount requests.

 

 

Location State

Where the medium is physically located.

 

Valid values are Archive, Checkout, or

 

Intransit.

 

 

Current Archive

The name of the archive if the medium is

 

physically located in an archive.

 

 

Pending Archive

The destination archive of an intransit

 

medium.

 

 

Action State

The Action associated with the archive

 

when the archive meets or exceeds the

 

Low Mark or High Mark parameters. Valid

 

values are None, Notify, or Migrate.

 

 

Import Date

The date and time the medium was

 

entered into the VolServ system.
