FILTER

A facility offered to a manager/secretary pair, allowing calls to the manager to be intercepted by one or more secretaries.

H OLD

A facility which allows you to keep a caller on hold while you perform a second operation, and then pick up the call again on the same terminal.

H UNT GROUP

A set of terminals which all have the same number in the phone book. A caller to this number will get whichever of the terminals in the group is free.

INTRUSION

A facility which allows you to interrupt a call between two other people (at least one of whom is internal).

ISDN

Integrated Services Digital Network.

LINE K EY

A key which gives access to a telephone line.

MANAGER/ SECRETARY

The range of special services such as filtering, forwarding, etc., between a manager's set and his secretary's.
