Autolocation, Chapter 9

To select and edit location points:

Operation	You press…	You see…
Copy Tape Location to	Copy Tape Location	Tape counter time
memory	button	(display left side) is
		copied to the Locate
		Point indicator on the
		display’s right side
		(Reference Counter).
Store Locate Point	Set Locate button	Locate Point display
		shows the current time;
		the location block shows
		the locate point number
Select Locate Point	Locate Select button, then	Locate Select display
	Up/Down Arrows or	shows the location point
	number keys to select the	number and name; the
	desired location point	locate point block shows
		the locate point number;
		Reference Counter (if in
		Locate Pt mode) shows
		the point time.
Edit Locate Point	Locate Select button, then	Locate Point display
	press Cursor Left/Right	(Reference Counter)
	to select the field to be	shows the location point
	edited (it will flash). Use	time; the locate point
	Up/Down Arrows, or	block shows the locate
	number keys to enter the	point number
	new value
Edit Locate Name	Locate Select button, then	Locate point block shows
	Enter/Name button.	the locate point number
	Enter the name.
Go to Locate Point	After selecting the	The Rewind or Fast
	desired Locate Point	Forward button flashes
	(using Select Locate	to indicate the direction
	mode), press Locate.	of the search. The Locate
		button stays lit until the
		tape reaches its
		destination.
Locate to Zero*	Locate 0 button	The Rewind or Fast
		Forward button flashes
		to indicate the direction
		of the search. Locate 0
		lights stays lit until the
		tape reaches its
		destination.

*Whether the tape counter display is ABS (Absolute), Relative, or SMPTE, the zero point is always at ABS 00:00:00:00 (the beginning of the audio section, just after the leader).
