Replacing the Video-Card Heat-Sink Fan(s)

Procedure
1Align the screw holes on the video-card heat-sink fan(s) with the screw holes on the
computer base.
2Tighten the captive screws that secure the secondary video-card heat-sink fan to the
computer base.
3Tighten the captive screws that secure the primary video-card heat-sink fan to the
computer base.
4Route the primary video-card heat-sink fan cable through the routing guides on the
computer base.
5Connect the primary video-card heat-sink fan cable to the connector on the system
board.
6Connect the secondary video-card heat-sink fan cable to the connector on the
system board.
Postrequisites
1Replace the base cover. See "Replacing the Base Cover" on page 15.
2Replace the battery pack. See "Replacing the Battery Pack" on page 13.
3Follow the instructions in "After Working Inside Your Computer" on page 11.
