Connecting an Additional ATA Device

If your computer did not come with a Zip drive or other device installed in the expansion bay below the CD-ROM drive, you can install an additional ATA storage device. You connect this second ATA device to the empty 40-pin connector on the end of the ATA ribbon cable that supports the internal CD-ROM drive.
