15.4 Framing the Image (Blanking)About framing the image
Blankinga djustment, affectingthe edges of the image only, allow to blank unwanted information at the borders of the image or to
frame the image onto thes creen.
How to frame the image
1. From the RandomA ccess mode menu, successively select item GEOMETRY and BLANKING. (menu 15-14)
TheBlanking menu appears on-screen and in the graphical display. The 4 Blanking menu items allow to frame the image on the
4 edges. (menu 15-16)
2. From the Blanking m enu, successively selectitem TOP,BOTTOM, LEFT, RIGHT and proceed to the adjustments:
Whenan item has been selected, the corresponding bar scale appears on-screen and in the graphical display on the ACSAR (A
numericv alueof “0” on the bar scale indicates no blanking applied). Proceed to the adjustment:

•PressENTER to activate the numeric value on the bar scale. The
firstdigit is active and can be changed.
• Enternew value, using the digit buttons on the Remote Control.
Nextdigit becomes active.
• Enternew value for second digit, using the digit buttons on the
RemoteControl. Last digit becomes active.
• Enter new value for third digit, using the digit buttons on the
RemoteControl and terminate value entry with ENT ER.
•PressEXIT to return.
With Remote
control
Cursor keys←and →• Press the cursor keys ←or →until the desired blanking on screen
is obtained.
•PressEXIT to return.
Withselection
wheel • Rotateselection wheel until desired blanking on screen is obtained.
• Press selectionw heel toc onfirm and return. (image 15-5)
3. Press EXIT (RCU) or select item RETURN (ACSAR) to return.
