15.5 Adjusting the Image Aspect Ratio

About Image Aspect Ratio

This function allowsyou to modify or to customize the displayed image format to enhance the image input format. The following
formats are available:
AspectRatio Description
16:9 Wide screen televisionformat/Anamorf format.
4:3 Standardt elevision format.
5:4 Workstationsformat.
2.35 Panavisionor Cinemascope format, frequently used by Hollywood films.
1.88 Filmformat used by a lot of non-action films.
1.78 Wide screen televisionformat/Anamorf format.

How to select the correct Image Aspect Ratio

1. From the Random Accessmode menu, successively select item GEOMETRY and ASPECT RATIO.(menu 15-17)
2. Press ENTER or selection wheel to toggle the correct image Aspect Ratio between brackets.
The formatof the displayed image is adapted automatically to the new format.
3. Press EXIT (RCU) or select item RETURN (ACSAR) to return.
