WARNING—Batteries:

The use of the wrong type of batteries may cause chemical leaks and/or explosion.

Please note the following:

• Due to varying storage conditions, the battery life for the batteries included with your TV may

be shortened. Replace th em within 3 months or as soon as you can after initial use.

• When batteries fail to function, replace them immediately. Do not attempt to recharge them.

• Always ensure that the batteries are inserted with the positive and negative terminals in the

correct direction as shown in the battery compartment.

• Different types of batteries have different charact eristics. Do not mix different types.

• Do not mix old and new batteries, as this will shorten battery life an d/or cause chemical leaks

from the old batteries.

• Chemicals which leak fr om batteries are toxic and may cause skin or eye irritation should it

come into contact with your skin or eyes. If any chemical matter leaks out of the batteries,

carefully wipe it up immediately using a dry disposable paper towel, and dispose of the towel

and battery, whilst being careful to avoid coming into direct contact with the leakage material.

Should you come into direct contact with th e battery contents, wash and rinse the affected

area with clean water. If discomfort persists, or if you swallow or consume a battery, contact

your nearest medical hospital, doctor, or health care professional, urgently, for appropriate

treatment.

WARNING—LCD Image Persistence:

Do not leave the scr een displaying a static image ( like black ba rs) for an ex tende d period of time

(days) because you may temporarily or permanently damage the screen resulting in image

traces which could remain visible long after the original image has been removed.

WARNING—Safety:

This BenQ LCD screen TV has been engineere d and manufactured with the highest priority on

safety, however, IMPROPER HANDLING OR USE CAN RESULT IN POTENTIAL ELECTRICAL

SHOCK OR FIRE HAZARD. Please handle this TV with care. If damaged, turn off the power and

unplug the power cable from the TV. Transport the TV to your nearest BenQ authorised service

centre for repair.

WARNING—Serviceability:

There are no user serviceable p arts in this TV. Never unscrew or remove any covers. There are

dangerous voltages inside. Turn off the power and uplug the power cable before moving the TV.
