Chapter 6: IP Address Assignment
4.6.4 Class of Service—IP TOS/DS
Function name: IP TOS/DS (Type of Service/ Differential Service)
Function description: When you enable this function, the packets with special IP will be transmitted first. The switch provides the IP layer CoS function by recognizing the DSCP (Differentiated Service Code Point) Octet and mapping it to the specified priority. For IPv4 packet, DSCP is embedded in the TOS (type of Service) Octet. For a IPv6 data packet, the Traffic Class Octet can be used to differentiate the Class of Service. When this function is enabled, the IP1718 LF will automatically recognize the IP version and capture either the TOS field (IPv4) or Traffic Class (IPv6).
Parameter description:
IP TOS/DS Priority Setting: Set the packet with specified IP header for a different priority queue.
IP TOS/DS Port Setting: Select the ports you want to apply to IP TOS/DS priority.
