Operating the CD player

Use only perfectly circular CDs for the CD player or changer (optional).

CDs manufactured in the shape of a butterfly or a beer mug, for example, are not suitable for use with this equipment.

Using such CDs can very likely result in the destruction of the CD and the CD drive.

We assume no responsibility for damages caused by using unsuitable CDs.

Switching to the CD mode

The car radio must be switched on.

The unit automatically switches to CD operation when a CD is inserted.

If a CD is already inserted in the CD player you can switch to the CD player mode from any other operating mode by

•pressing CD.

Inserting a CD

•Turn on the set.

•Press . The front panel (operating panel) will open downwards.

•Insert a CD with the printed side facing up. Do not use excessive force. The CD will be transported to the playback position automatically. The CD menu with the functions which can be selected will appear in the display. If the track number and time appear in the display, you can call up the CD menu by pressing

MENU .
