Ring Delay The number of rings before the mac hine answers in

Fax Only, Fax/Tel and TAD:Msg Mgr mode.

Ring Volume Volume setting for the machine’s ring.

Scanning (MFC-620CN only) The process of sending an

electronic image of a paper document into your computer.

Scan to Card (MFC-620CN only) You can scan a black and white

or colour document into a Media Card. Black and white images

will be in TIFF or PDF file format and colour images may be in

PDF or JPEG file format.

Search An electronic, alphabetical listing of stored One-Touch

(FAX-2440C), Speed-Dial an d Group numbers.

Speed-Dial A pre-programmed number for easy dialling. Y ou must

press the Search/Speed Dial, #, and the two digit code and

Mono Start or Colour Start to start the d ialling process.

Standard resolution 203 x 97 dpi. It is used for regular size text

and quickest transmission.

Station ID The stored information that appears on the top of faxed

pages. It includes the sende r’s name and fax number.

Super Fine resolution 392 x 203 dpi. Best for very sm all print and

line art.

TAD (telephone answering device) You can connect an e xternal

TAD to your machine.

Temporary settings You can select certain options for each fax

transmission and copy without changing the d efault settings.

Tone A form of dialling on the telephone line used for Touch Tone

telephones.

Transmission The process of sending faxes over the phone lines

from your machine to the receiving fax machine.

User Settings A printed repo rt that shows the curre nt settings of the

machine.

Xmit Report (Transmission Verification Report) A listing for

each transmission, that sho ws its date, time and number.
