Storing numbers for easy dialling

You can set up your machine to do following types of easy dialling:
One-Touch (FAX-2440C only ), Speed-Dial and Groups for
Broadcasting faxes. When yo u dial a quick-dial number, the LCD
shows the name, if you stored it, or the number.

Storing One-Touch Di al numbers

(FAX-2440C only)
Your machine has 3 One-Touch keys where you can
store 6 fax or phone numbe rs for automatic dialling .
To access numbers to , hold down Shift as
you press the One-Touch key. (See One-Touch
dialling (FAX-2440C only) on page 3-2.)
One-Touch keys are loca ted on the right side of t he
control panel.

Press Menu/Set, 2, 3, 1.

Press the One-Touch key where you
want to store a numbe r.

Enter the number (up to 20 digits).
Press Menu/Set.
■If you want to enter a pause in t he dialling sequence (for
example, to access an outside line), press Redial/Pause
as you are entering the digits.
Each key press of Redial/Pause enters a 3.5 second
pause when the number is dialled, displayed by a dash on
the screen.
Quick-Dial numbers and dialling options
If you lose electrical power, the quick-dial numbers that are in
the memory will not be lost.
