Using the RC-V100 Remote Controller

You can connect the optional RC-V100 Remote Controller to control the camcorder (including advanced recording functions) from a distance. In addition to turning the camcorder on and off and navigating the menus,

while recording you can control various camera functions, such as aperture and shutter speed, and custom 87 picture settings, like knee and sharpness.

The connection cable supplied with the RC-V100 is required to connect the remote controller to the camcorder's REMOTE terminal. For details on how to connect and use the remote controller, refer to its instruction manual.

Operating modes:

1Turn off the camcorder and connect the optional RC-V100 Remote Controller to the camcorder.

2 Turn on the camcorder in mode and open the [REMOTE Term.] submenu.

[wOther Functions] >[REMOTE Term.]

3 Select [RC-V100] and then press the joystick.

Options

 

[RC-V100]:

Select this option to use the optional RC-V100 Remote Controller.

[Standard]:

Select this option to use commercially available remote controls.

NOTES

The following controls on the remote controller will not operate the camcorder: ND button, AGC button, AUTO KNEE button, ZOOM dial and AF button.

The AUTO IRIS button on the remote controller will operate the camcorder only when a compatible EF lens (A60) is attached to the camcorder.

Custom picture settings can be changed using the remote controller only when an appropriate custom picture file is selected (A93).
