Registering Sender Information

A fax you receive may have information, such as the sender’s name or the company name, the sender’s phone or fax number, and the date and time of the transmission, printed in small type at the top of each page. Such sender information is called Transmit Terminal Identification, or TTI.

You can register your TTI in this machine, so that the recipient of your fax will know who sent it, and when it was sent.

Below is an example of how your sender information would be printed on a fax sent from the machine:

You can select FAX or TEL to be printed before the number. See “TX TERMINAL ID” in the User’s Guide on-screen manual.

(C)Your name

(D)Prints the name of the destination when sending from coded speed dialing.

Note

zWhen sending black & white faxes, you can set the sender information to print inside or outside the image area. Refer to “TX TERMINAL ID” in “FAX SETTINGS” of the User’s Guide on-screen manual.

zFor color sending, the sender information is printed inside the print area and the recipient’s name is not printed.

zYou can enter the sender information from the Operation Panel. See “Registering Your Fax/Telephone Number and Name (Sender Information)” on page 34.

zThree date display formats are available: YYYY/MM/DD, MM/DD/YYYY, and DD/MM/YYYY. For details on the date format settings, refer to “DATE DISPLAY” in “FAX SETTINGS” of the User’s Guide on- screen manual.
