The following messages may appear on the LCD monitor (or
viewfinder) during shooting or playback. Please refer to the Direct
Print User Guide for the messages thatdisplay during aprinter
connection.
Imageis beingrecorded to, or read from, memorycard.
Theplayback mode isstarting up.
Resettingall the camera and menu setUngs todefault.
Youturnedonthecamerawithoutamemorycardinstalled.
TheSD card is write-protected. (p. 133)
Youattempted to shoot an image without amemory card installed.
Memorycard has experienced an anomaly, l--
Memorycard is fullof images and no more can be recorded orsaved. Orno more
imageset_ngs can be recorded, Orno more sound memos andsound recorder can be
recorded.
Theimage couldnot be created because there is an image with the same name as lhe
folderthat the camera is attempting to create, or the highest possible file number has
alreadybeen reached. Inthe Set upMenu, set the File Numbering op_on to [Auto
Reset].Save allthe imagesyou wishto retainonto a computer,then reformatthe
memorycard (p. 35). Please note that formattingwill erase all the existing images and
otherdata.
Batterycharge is insufficient to operate the camera. Replace all 4 batteries immediately
withunused AA-size alkaline batteries or fully charged CanonAA-size NiMH batteries.
