ehen the camera is held vertically toshoot, the IntelligentOrientation sensor judges the upper end to be "up" and the

lower endto be"down". It then regulates theoptimal white

balance, exposure, and focus for vertical photography. This

function operates regardless ofthe on/off status of the Auto

Rotate function.

•The Auto Rotate function can be set forthe shooting and

playback modes separately.

-When the Auto Rotate function is set to [On] in shooting

mode, the orientation of the camera is recorded when the

shot is taken. Therefore, the image isautomatically rotated

during playback mode based on the orientation ofthe

camera during shooting.

-When the Auto Rotate function is set to [On] inplayback

mode, images will be rotated to their correct orientation in

the LCD monitor (or viewfinder) regardless of the camera's

orientation when shooting.

You can create a new folder at any time and the recorded images will

be automatically saved tothat folder.
