Downloading Images to a Computer

117

Some problems may occur when downloading images to a computer in the PTP mode with certain file types. Please refer to the supplied Picture Transfer Protocol (PTP) Mode leaflet.

• Ensure that you push the [Push] button on the connector to remove the USB cable from the camera’s DIGITAL•A/ V OUT terminal.

It is recommended to power the camera from a household power outlet with the optional AC Adapter Kit ACK500 when connected to a computer (p. 130).

If the USB cable is detached while the camera power is on, the camera will power down.

When the camera is connected to a computer, a warning displays on the computer display after 5 minutes if the camera is not used. The camera shuts down if a further minute passes without a button being pressed. (Except when the camera’s power-saving function is set to off) To restore power, press the main switch again. However, the power-saving function will not activate if the Communication mode is set to [PTP].

All procedures performed with a connection to a USB 2.0 compliant board are not guaranteed.

Please refer to the Software Starter Guide for the subsequent procedures.
