Device Models
All models can be fully managed through the web-based switch configuration
utility.
NOTE Each model can be set to Layer 3 system mode by using the System Mode and
Stack Management page.
When the device operates in Layer3 system mode, the VLAN Rate Limit, and Q oS
policers are not operational. Other QoS Advanced mode features are operational.
Only the SG500X/SG500XG/ESW2-550X models support Virtual Router
Redundancy Protocol (VRRP), and Routing Information Protocol (RIP).
NOTE The following port conventions are used:
GE is used for Gigabit Ethernet (10/100/1000) ports.
FE is used for Fast Ethernet (10/100) ports.
XG is used for 10 Gigabit Ethernet ports.
