Using the SPA932 Attendant Console

The SPA932 is a 32-button attendant console for the SPA962, providing access to 32 extensions. Two SPA932 units can be attached to a single SPA962 to monitor a total of 64 separate lines.

Your system administrator must program the lines on the SPA932 to correspond to the appropriate phone extensions in your network. (For more information on programming the SPA932, see the Cisco Small Business SPA and Wireless IP Phone Administration Guide.)

After the SPA932 is configured, you can perform the following tasks:

Monitor an extension

Speed dial an extension with a single button push

Transfer a call to an extension with a single button push

Pick up a call at an extension with a single button push

Monitoring an Extension

A line button on the SPA932 can be assigned to monitor an extension. The LED lights indicate the status of the monitored extension. (These colors can vary, but the typical configuration follows.)

Green: Line is idle.

Red (steady): Line is active or in use.

Red (blinking): Line is ringing.

Orange (solid): Line is unregistered (cannot be used).

Orange (blinking): Line is not configured properly.
