Fan Assembly Spare Part Number Information

Fan assembly 418886-001

1.Prepare the computer for disassembly (Section 5.3).

2.Remove the keyboard (Section 5.10).

3.Remove the switch cover (Section 5.15).

4.Disconnect the fan cable 1 from the system board.

5.Remove the Torx8 T8M2.5×7.0 screw 2 that secures the fan assembly to the base enclosure.

6.Remove the fan assembly 3 from the computer.

Removing the Fan Assembly

Reverse the above procedure to install the fan assembly.
