Defining Filtering

Function

4.To define a rule for Time-based Access Control, you need to know the IP address of the computers where this rule applies. For example, if you wish to disallow two computers (IP address of 192.168.168.10 and 192.168.168.11) to access to the Internet between 10:00PM to 8:00AM, you may define a rule with the following parameters:

Rule Name	Enter your preferred name for this rule
IP Address	Select Range from the drop down menu
(From)	192.168.168.10
(To)	192.168.168.11
Destination Port	Any
(From)	<blank>
(To)	<blank>
Day of the Week	Any
(From)	Sun
(To)	Sun
Time of the day	Select Range from the drop down menu
(From)	22:00
(To)	08:00

5.Press the Apply button to add this filtering function into the list.

6.Ensure that the Sent radio button is “checked”.

7.Press the Apply button for the changes to be effective.

3.5.2Internet Application Filtering

To define a function to perform Internet Application Filtering:

1.Press the Add button at the filtering configuration page as shown in Figure 3.5.1-1.
