SNMP Traps
The switch sends out SNMP traps to network management stations whenever certain exceptional events occur, such as when the switch is powered on or when an SNMP request is made using an unknown community name. The switch allows traps to be routed to up to four different network management hosts.

The following trap parameters can be set:
♦IP Address: gives the IP address of the network management station to receive the trap
♦SNMP Community String: determines the SNMP community name to be included in the trap request.
♦Status: determines whether this trap entry is valid or invalid. You can delete an entry by changing its status to Invalid.
