Prerequisites

1Remove the base cover. See "Removing the Base Cover" on page 10.

2Remove the battery. See "Removing the Battery" on page 12.

3Remove the hard-drive. See "Removing the Hard Drive" on page 16.

4Remove the wireless card. See"Removing the Wireless Card" on page 19.

5Remove the keyboard. See "Removing the Keyboard" on page 21.

6Remove the bottom cover. See "Removing the Bottom Cover" on page 25.

7Remove the thermal-cooling assembly. See "Removing the Thermal-Cooling Assembly" on page 34.

Procedure

1Remove the screws that secure the display hinge to the palm-rest assembly.
